The Kratom Consumer Protection Act protects Nevada consumers from adulterated Kratom products and requires labeling that allows consumers to know exactly what is in any kratom product they purchase. This happened on April 14, 2019, when the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy called a public hearing to reconsider Kratom’s legal status, calling for it to be listed as a Schedule 1 controlled substance. Fortunately, the pharmacy board removed the request from the agenda due to advocacy by the American Kratom Association and passionate Kratom consumers.
