How Long Does Kratom Last?

If you’re new to kratom, you probably want to know how long kratom lasts. These variables will differ depending on your chosen vein and how much you take. Let’s take a look at how long kratom lasts and how much time to wait between doses to ensure you get the best results.

In this article, you’ll learn:

How kratom may affect you

Depending on individual circumstances, dosage, and the vein of kratom you use, you may experience varying effects. An energizing vein like the Green Vein Kratom may alert you with increased energy and motivation. Other veins, like the White Vein Kratom, have been shown to help people feel optimistic and friendly. On the other hand, veins, like the Red Vein Kratom, have been reported to help with relaxation and relief from discomfort.

How long kratom lasts

Just like the different sensations you may experience after taking kratom, the time that it lasts also differs between people. Different variables include an individual’s metabolism, how much food the individual consumed that day, the dosage, and the form of kratom— capsule, powder, extract or tincture.

The effects of kratom typically last anywhere between three to eight hours. If you take it on an empty stomach, you can expect to feel the results within 20 to 30 minutes. On a full stomach, it can take up to 60 minutes to begin experiencing the effects.

The science of how long kratom lasts

Kratom is made up of two main chemicals: mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine. These chemicals are most potent roughly two to three hours after consumption. This is, therefore, the amount of time it will take to eliminate half of the drug in the body and the time when the effects of kratom will be most intense. After this period, you may still feel the effects, but the sensations are less intense.

How long does kratom stay in your system?

The length of time kratom stays in your system depends on individual factors and the amount you take. The effects of mitragynine, the main chemical component in kratom, depend on the dosage. The more kratom you take, the longer it stays in your system. Conversely, a smaller amount will stay in your system for a shorter period.

Based on a typical dose and an average metabolism, and if kratom is consumed on an empty stomach, you can expect it to stay in your system for around 24 hours.

Kratom takes about five to six days to be eradicated from your system. This time is because it takes between five to six half-lives to eliminate kratom from the body. Based on the knowledge that kratom has a half-life of approximately 24 hours and it takes about five to six half-lives to eliminate, it would take about five to six days in total to remove kratom from the body under most circumstances.

How long does kratom stay in urine?

Kratom can be detected in urine tests for up to nine days after consumption.

How long do you wait between kratom doses?

Kratom typically lasts between four to eight hours. So, we recommend waiting roughly the same amount of time between doses. This wait time will help ensure you experience the best possible effects.

Most people who take kratom take roughly three doses daily, or around four to five days a week. However, if you want to take kratom multiple times during the week, it’s a good idea to take smaller quantities. Generally, it’s always best to start with small doses.
