Kratom has exploded in popularity in the last 5 years in the US as a totally natural botanical that can help increase energy, focus and help with aches and pains. It is tree that is primarily grown in Indonesia and is in the coffee family, which can give it stimulating effects. It naturally developed two alkaloids – Mitragynine and 7-Hydroxymitragynine (7-OH). Kratom has 4 major colors, or “Veins” that have different quantities of each major alkaloid. These are then divided into particular “Strains” that have slightly different effects or places they are grown.

Green Veins – These have both high quantities of Mitragynine and 7-OH, so they are great all around strains for boosting energy and focus, mood elevating and as an analgesic. 
Red Veins – These have higher quantities of Mitragynine but low quantities of 7-OH, so they tend to be best for night time, or for stronger analgesic needs.
White Veins – These have lower Mitragynine but elevated 7-OH, which means they are amazing as an energy and focus booster – Better than coffee! 
Yellow Veins – These are like a cross between Green and Red Veins, and are great for all around day use, but have increased mood boosting effects.
